About the academy

A serious education, taught with warmth

Your Quran Mentor exists for one reason: to give every learner a teacher who knows them, a plan they can follow, and the time to get it right — whether they are beginning with the first Arabic letter, working towards fluent recitation, or studying the wider Islamic sciences. Every class is taught live and one-to-one, so the lesson belongs to the person in front of the screen.

A note from our founder

“Every parent who entrusts us with their child is entrusting us with something precious. We believe that responsibility deserves patience, care, qualified teachers, and an education rooted in authentic Islamic knowledge.”

Our story

It began with a simple observation

Every learner arrives with a different starting point, a different pace and a different reason for studying — some for Quran reading, some for Tajweed or Hifz, and some for a broader grounding in the Islamic sciences. We built this academy to make room for that difference: one teacher, one learner, one lesson shaped around the person in front of the screen.

What began as a small handful of students has grown, across years and time zones, into a full academy with courses, pathways and a teaching standard we hold every teacher to. The schedule expanded, the course library deepened, and the team grew — carefully, teacher by teacher.

What has stayed constant is the principle the academy was built on. Every decision — who we hire, how we schedule, what we teach — comes back to one question: does this help the learner in front of us?

Our aim is simple: to be the academy a family stays with for years.

Core principles

Six principles behind every lesson

These guide how we teach, how we choose teachers, and how we look after the people learning with us — across every subject we offer.

  • 01

    Standards before scale

We grow at the pace our teaching standards allow, choosing teachers carefully before adding new classes.

  • 02

    Qualified teachers only

Every teacher is assessed for qualification, subject knowledge and teaching ability before joining — and reviewed through ongoing learner feedback.

  • 03

    Honest guidance

If a course, teacher or programme is not the right fit, we say so. We would rather lose a booking than mislead a family.

  • 04

    Progress you can follow

Regular, specific feedback so families always know what has improved and what comes next.

  • 05

    Consistency you can rely on

The same standard of teaching, communication and care, whichever teacher or subject your family studies with.

  • 06

    Faith and excellence

Islamic education deserves our best effort — in how we teach it, and in how we treat the people learning it.

Mission & vision

Why we exist

Two statements guide everything else on this page. They are deliberately short, because they are meant to be lived by, not framed.

Our mission

To build a trusted standard for accessible, authentic, and personalized Islamic education.

Our approach brings together sound Islamic knowledge, carefully selected educators, structured learning, flexible access, and one-to-one instruction. We aim to create an educational experience where quality is not reserved for a classroom, a location, or a particular stage of life..

Our vision

A generation of Muslims who read, understand and live their faith with confidence — because someone taught them patiently.

Our hope is a lifelong relationship with the Quran, the Sunnah and the wider Islamic tradition, built on patient teaching and honest progress — the kind of learning that stays long after the lesson ends.

Our approach

How teaching works here

A method is only worth describing if it changes what happens in the lesson. Each of these five commitments does.

  1. 01

    Assessment before placement

The trial class exists to find the honest starting point, so the plan that follows is built on facts rather than assumptions.

  2. 02

    A plan, not a syllabus

Courses give the sequence. Your teacher gives the pace. The two are adjusted together as the learner grows, so the plan stays useful rather than theoretical.

  3. 03

    Correction with encouragement

Mistakes are corrected precisely — every letter, every rule — and always in a way that keeps a learner's confidence intact.

  4. 04

    Revision built into every lesson

New material is added once earlier learning is secure. Retention is part of the lesson itself.

  5. 05

    Progress reviewed, not assumed

Feedback is regular and specific. If something needs adjusting — the pace, the teacher, the plan — we change it together.

Our teachers

The people who make this work

A learner's experience depends almost entirely on the teacher. Our selection process exists to protect that experience: qualification review, a live recitation or subject assessment, an observed teaching trial, and ongoing review from learner feedback. Male and female teachers are available, including sisters-only classes.

Any certification a teacher holds is stated on their individual profile, so you always know who you are learning with.

Selection standard

  1. 01Qualification & experience review
  2. 02Live recitation or subject-knowledge assessment
  3. 03Observed teaching trial with the age group
  4. 04Ongoing review through learner feedback

Our commitments

What every learner can expect from us

These commitments sit behind every class we teach — from the very first trial lesson to the final revision, whichever subject your family is studying.

  • A live, one-to-one lesson taught by your teacher, every time.
  • A pace and correction style matched to the learner in front of us.
  • Realistic stages, reviewed honestly as you advance.
  • A clear point of contact and regular progress updates for families.
  • A different teacher, arranged without friction, if the fit is not right.
  • A schedule that works around your week, wherever you are studying from.

What we teach
