Who this course is for
Many Muslims pray, fast and give charity without ever having studied the rulings that make each act valid. This course closes that gap — teaching you what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how to handle the situations that textbooks often skip.
You pray and fast but want the rulings behind each act, so your worship rests on knowledge.
The practical Fiqh every Muslim needs — see also Revert Program for the tailored sequence.
Age 14+ learners preparing for the years in which worship becomes a personal obligation.
Learn the rulings properly so you can teach your children and answer their questions correctly.

Curriculum
The course follows the classical order of the Fiqh of worship — starting with purification, then prayer, then the remaining acts. Each ruling is taught with its evidence and, where relevant, the differences between the schools.
Wudu, Ghusl and Tayammum in full detail — their conditions, obligations, nullifiers and the situations in which each is required or permitted.
Conditions, pillars, obligations and recommended acts of the prayer, taught in the order they occur in the prayer itself.
Praying in congregation, combining and shortening prayers in travel, and praying while sick or unable to stand.
Jumu'ah, Eid, Witr, Duha and the voluntary prayers, plus Sajdah Sahw for mistakes and Sujud al-Tilawah for recitation.
The rulings of fasting — what invalidates, what excuses, and what compensates — and the calculation, conditions and distribution of Zakat.
The essentials of pilgrimage at a level that prepares the learner to perform it, and the everyday rulings of food, dress, speech and transactions.
How lessons work
Fiqh is best learned by working through the rulings in their natural order, then applying them to real situations. Each lesson combines explanation with the practical examples that most matter to the learner's own life.
One-to-one, live — questions welcome; the teacher adapts to your madhhab and situation.
Ruling, evidence, reasoning — the teacher explains not just what is correct, but why.
45–60 minute sessions — enough time to cover a topic in depth and discuss your questions.
2 sessions per week — with recommended reading between lessons.
Practical Q&A — bring real scenarios from your own worship and get clear answers.
Before starting this course
If you follow a specific school of jurisprudence (madhhab), tell us in the trial request and we will match you with a teacher familiar with it. If you're not sure, the teacher will explain the major positions clearly.
Questions
Common questions about this course. If yours isn't here, ask it with your trial request.
We teach the Fiqh of worship as agreed upon across the four classical Sunni schools, and where the schools differ we present the positions fairly with the reasoning behind each. If you follow a specific madhhab, tell us in the trial request and we will match you with a teacher familiar with it. Our goal is for you to worship with confidence, grounded in authentic scholarship — not to push you toward a particular school.
If you already worship consistently, this course is about depth rather than starting over. Many practising Muslims pray for decades without ever having formally studied what makes each prayer valid, what to do when something goes wrong mid-prayer, or how to handle the situations that come up in travel and illness. This course fills those gaps — and gives you the understanding that makes worship more conscious and meaningful.
The general Islamic Studies course covers the broad framework — Aqeedah, an overview of Fiqh, Seerah, Hadith and manners — as a complete foundation. Fiqh of Worship goes deep into one of those areas: the practical rulings that govern daily worship. Many learners take Islamic Studies first for the framework, then Fiqh of Worship for the depth. Others come directly to Fiqh of Worship because that's the specific area they want to master.
Yes — and we encourage it. The rulings of Fiqh exist to be applied to real life, and there is no point learning them in the abstract. Bring any situation you are unsure about, and the teacher will explain the relevant rulings and how they apply. This is the great advantage of one-to-one lessons over group classes or videos: your specific questions get answered, not just the general ones.
For specialised rulings — medical ethics, financial transactions, legal matters or professional situations — we may not be the right fit, and we will say so honestly. This course focuses on the Fiqh of worship: prayer, purification, fasting, Zakat and Hajj. For specialised areas we recommend consulting a mufti or scholar with specific expertise. If a matter comes up in your studies that falls outside our scope, your teacher will tell you so.
