Male teachers
For learners across all ages and levels, in every subject we teach — from Qaida through to Nahw and Sarf.
A learner's experience depends almost entirely on the teacher. Our selection process exists to protect that experience — and it does not stop at hiring. Every teacher who joins the academy is assessed on recitation, subject knowledge and teaching ability, and reviewed through ongoing learner feedback.
What we assess
The selection process
No teacher reaches a learner without passing all four stages. We would rather turn away a qualified applicant than place a teacher we are not confident in.
We review each applicant's Quranic education, formal certifications, subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience. Any certification a teacher holds is stated on their individual profile, so you can see exactly who you are learning with.
Applicants recite live and are assessed on Tajweed accuracy, fluency, rhythm and clarity of pronunciation. For teachers of advanced courses — Tajweed, Hifz, Recitation Fluency — the assessment is more demanding and considers voice, breath control and the ability to model what they teach.
Short teaching sessions are observed for clarity, patience, and how well the teacher works with the age group they will teach. A teacher who is excellent with adults is not automatically the right choice for a seven-year-old — and we assess accordingly.
Learner feedback and progress are reviewed regularly, so standards hold over time rather than being checked once at hiring. If a teacher is not a good fit for a particular learner, we arrange a different teacher — without friction or awkwardness.
Male & female teachers
We maintain both male and female teachers across our subject range. For sisters and for young children, female teachers are available on request — and the sisters-only format is offered on the same terms as any other.
Teacher arrangements are agreed before the first lesson and can be changed at any point if circumstances change.
For learners across all ages and levels, in every subject we teach — from Qaida through to Nahw and Sarf.
For sisters and young children, across all courses. Note your preference in your trial request and we will match accordingly.
Every course in the academy can be taken in a sisters-only format, with a female teacher, in a setting designed to be comfortable and private. See the Sisters Programme for the full picture.
Support after hiring
Once a teacher joins, they are not left alone. Our faculty support structure exists so that teachers can keep improving — and so that learners benefit from teachers who are still growing.
Every course has a defined stage structure, so teachers know what to teach and when — while remaining free to adapt to the learner.
Teachers occasionally observe each other's lessons and share technique — a practice that lifts the whole faculty, not just the individual.
Feedback from learners and parents is reviewed regularly — not to police, but to identify where a teacher needs support or where a match is not working.
Teachers are encouraged to continue their own Quranic and Arabic study. A teacher who is still learning teaches differently from one who has stopped.
We coordinate time zones and availability so teachers can focus on teaching rather than logistics.
Boundaries, safeguarding expectations and conduct standards are set out clearly and enforced consistently.
Individual profiles
Any certification or qualification a teacher holds is stated on their individual profile, so you can see exactly who you are learning with before the first lesson. Profiles include their subjects, experience and — where relevant — their teachers and ijazah.

The trial lesson is a real lesson, with a real teacher, matched to the learner. If the fit is not right, we arrange another teacher — no awkwardness.
