The process

From first message to steady progress

Four steps, no sales calls, no payment details before you've met the teacher. This page walks through exactly what happens — before your first lesson, inside a lesson, and once learning settles into a rhythm.

At a glance

The journey

What happens at each step

The same four steps as the summary card above — with the detail that decides whether the process works for you.

  1. 01

    Request your trial

Send the form with the learner's age, current level, goals and preferred times. Tell us the time zone. We reply with a suggested teacher, a suggested starting course and two or three time slots — usually within a day.

No payment details at this stage. No obligation to book a lesson.

  2. 02

    Meet your teacher

You take a real lesson — not a demonstration. The teacher will check the learner's current level, work through a short passage or exercise, and show how a normal session runs. You'll see their manner and pace before committing.

If the teacher isn't a fit, we arrange another — no awkwardness, no charge.

  3. 03

    Get a learning plan

Your teacher writes down where the learner is now, which stage of which course is the right starting point, what will be covered in the first few weeks, and a realistic weekly rhythm — how many sessions, how long, and what practice between lessons.

The plan is reviewed as the learner progresses, not set once and forgotten.

  4. 04

    Learn and review

Lessons settle into a rhythm. Revision is built into each session so earlier learning isn't lost as new material is added. Progress is reviewed regularly — what has improved, what still needs work, and what comes next.

If life intervenes — exams, travel, Ramadan — pause and resume without starting over.

Inside a lesson

One hour, one learner, one teacher

Every lesson is different because every learner is different — but the rhythm of a good session is consistent. Here is how the time is usually spent, from the first few minutes to the last.

Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes depending on the learner's age and concentration. The proportions below stay roughly the same.

A single session

  1. Warm-up review Revisit what was learned last time
    ~5 min
  2. New material Taught in small pieces, with room for questions
    ~20 min
  3. Guided practice The learner works; the teacher corrects live
    ~20 min
  4. Assignment & feedback Practice for between lessons; a note on what improved
    ~10 min

Exact proportions shift with the learner's age and the course. For younger children, sessions are shorter and split across more days.

After the trial

If you decide to continue

Continuing after a trial is straightforward and reversible. This is what is set up for you, not what you have to chase.

Recurring slots

Your preferred times are set as a recurring weekly schedule — the same slots each week, matched to your time zone.

Written plan

The teacher's plan is sent to you in writing — where the learner is, what comes next, and what the first few weeks will cover.

Materials included

Any texts, worksheets or recordings the teacher uses are shared with you at no extra cost.

One point of contact

A single contact for scheduling, rescheduling and any questions — no ticket queues, no account portals.

Keeping momentum

Progress is about staying, not speeding

Most learners who leave an academy do so because life got in the way — not because they stopped caring. Everything below exists to make continuation easier than stopping.

  • Rescheduling is routine — move a lesson through your usual contact with reasonable notice. No penalties for genuine reasons.

  • Pausing is expected — exams, travel, a new baby, Ramadan. Pause and resume with the same teacher and plan.

  • Revision built into every lesson — so earlier learning is not lost when new material is added.

  • Progress feedback, not progress reports — honest notes on what improved and what still needs work.

  • Teacher changes on request — if a match isn't right, we arrange another teacher without disruption to progress.

  • Course or programme changes without restarting — switch as goals change. The teacher and momentum carry over.

Begin

Start with step one

One message, one lesson, one decision — no pressure at any stage. If the trial doesn't convince you, you owe nothing.
