Curriculum
Course structure
The Noorani Qaida course is divided into clear stages. Each stage is mastered before moving to the next, so foundations are never rushed.
-
01
Individual Arabic letters & sounds
All 28 letters in their isolated forms — correct pronunciation from the throat, tongue and lips (Makhaarij).
-
02
Letter shapes & joining
How each letter looks at the beginning, middle and end of a word — and how letters connect (Huroof Murakkabaat).
-
03
Short vowels (Harakat)
Fatha, Kasra and Damma — reading two- and three-letter syllables with accuracy.
-
04
Tanween & Sukoon
Double vowels at the end of words, and consonants without a vowel — essential for correct reading.
-
05
Madd (elongation) & Shaddah
Stretching letters correctly and doubling letters — the bridge between Qaida and fluent Quran reading.
-
06
Reading practice & assessment
Combined exercises from the Quran, with a progress assessment before moving to the Quran Reading (Nazra) course.

Questions
Noorani Qaida FAQ
Common questions about this course. If yours isn't here, ask it with your trial request.
Most learners complete Noorani Qaida in 4 to 10 weeks, depending on age, session frequency and starting level. Younger children typically take closer to 10 weeks; adults often progress faster. Your teacher will give you a realistic estimate after the first lesson.
Yes — many of our learners are adults starting from scratch, including reverts and those returning to Quran study after years away. The one-to-one format means the pace is adjusted to you, and materials are age-appropriate.
Children as young as 5 can begin, provided they can focus for short periods. For younger children we recommend 20–30 minute sessions, 3–4 times per week. The teacher will assess readiness in the trial class.
Yes. Female teachers are available for sisters and young children. Simply note your preference in the trial request form and we will match accordingly.
Once the learner can read words accurately, the natural next step is the Quran Reading (Nazra) course — reading full verses fluently. From there, learners can move into Tajweed Essentials or Hifz.
