Who this course is for
Some sisters prefer to learn with a female teacher; some families want their daughters to have one. This is not a separate curriculum — it is the same courses we teach everyone else, delivered by teachers who are chosen for both their qualifications and their suitability for this setting.
Women of any age who want to study Quran or Islamic sciences with a female teacher in a comfortable setting.
Female teachers for girls in this age range, with warm and encouraging lessons designed for young learners.
Ages 13–17 building their knowledge through the years when a female teacher often feels most appropriate.
Women who paused their own learning to raise families and want to return — at their own pace.
Learning outcomes
The outcomes depend on which course you choose. Whatever your subject, you will be able to:
Curriculum
Every course in our catalog is available in a sisters-only format. The stages below describe what you can study — from first letters through to the advanced Islamic sciences — depending on your starting point and goals.
From first letters through to fluent Quran reading — the same structured progression as Noorani Qaida and Quran Reading, taught by a female teacher.
Makharij, Sifaat, Noon and Meem rules, Madd and Waqf — the Tajweed Essentials course with a female teacher who can demonstrate and correct your recitation directly.
The full Structured Hifz programme — Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil cycle, revision discipline, realistic targets — with a female teacher throughout.
Word-by-Word Quran and Tafsir Foundations — building vocabulary and interpretive understanding from the Quran itself.
Aqeedah, Seerah, Hadith, manners and the practical rulings of worship — including rulings specific to women's worship (purification, prayer, fasting) that are particularly important to study with a female teacher.
Quranic Arabic (Nahw & Sarf) and the foundational vocabulary — the language tools for reading the Quran and the classical sources directly.
How lessons work
The format is the same one-to-one teaching we use across the academy — with a female teacher, and with the flexibility for parents to sit in or step out as they see fit.
One-to-one, live — with a qualified female teacher throughout.
Parents may sit in — for young girls, we welcome a parent being present at any stage.
Lesson length by age — 20–30 min for young girls, 45–60 min for teens and adults.
2–3 sessions per week — frequency adjusted to your subject and pace.
Teacher change on request — if the fit is not right, we will arrange a different female teacher, no questions asked.
Before starting these classes
For families with both boys and girls, you can arrange sisters-only lessons for the girls alongside regular lessons for any boys — see Family Programmes for coordinated scheduling.
Questions
Common questions about this format. If yours isn't here, ask it with your trial request.
Yes. Every lesson in this format is taught by a qualified female teacher — from the trial class onward. There are no substitute teachers or male teachers involved at any point. If for any reason the assigned teacher is unavailable and we cannot find a female replacement for a scheduled session, the lesson is simply rescheduled at no cost.
Every subject in our catalog. Quran reading, Qaida, Tajweed, Hifz, Hifz revision, Word-by-Word Quran, Tafsir, Islamic Studies, Fiqh, Seerah, Quranic Arabic — all available in a sisters-only format. If you would like to study a particular subject that is not in our usual catalog, ask us — we can often arrange it or recommend the closest equivalent.
Yes. We have female teachers who specifically work with girls from ages 5 upwards. Sessions for younger girls are kept short (20–30 minutes), use warm and encouraging methods, and welcome a parent sitting in as much or as little as you like. Parents are free to drop in on any lesson at any point — there is nothing hidden from you.
Yes — female teachers go through exactly the same selection process as male teachers. They are assessed on Quranic education, subject knowledge, recitation accuracy (Tajweed assessment) and their teaching ability through observed trial lessons. Any certification or qualification they hold is stated on their teacher profile. The standard is identical; only the setting differs.
Yes. In the trial request, tell us if you follow a specific madhhab or have particular preferences on how rulings are presented (for example, in the Fiqh of Worship course). We will match you with a female teacher familiar with that tradition where possible. If we cannot find a female teacher familiar with your specific preference, we will tell you honestly rather than mismatching you.
