Sisters-Only Classes
The complete guide to the sisters-only format — teacher selection, available subjects and how the setting works.
View course →A dedicated programme for women learners — from young girls through to grandmothers — taught by qualified female teachers in a comfortable, private setting. Every subject is available, every schedule is flexible, and every lesson is structured around the realities of a woman's life: family, work, and the many competing demands on your time.
Tell us about yourself or your daughter and we'll confirm a female teacher and a time that fits your week.
Who this programme is for
Women often carry the heaviest schedules — work, children, household, and often the care of elders too. This programme is designed with that reality in mind. Sessions are flexible, teachers are patient, and study flexes around your life rather than the other way around.
Study during nap times, between school runs, or in the evenings. The schedule is designed around your day, not against it.
Early mornings before work, evenings after, or weekends — teachers are matched to the times that actually work for you.
Female teachers for girls of all ages, with age-appropriate lessons — see Children's and Teenagers programmes.
Whether you paused to raise a family or drifted away years ago, we pick up exactly where you are — no starting over.
Learning outcomes
Every course in the academy is available in a sisters-only format. Depending on your chosen subjects, the programme helps you:
Programme
Because sisters arrive at different stages, the programme is shaped around where you are. Below is the natural progression from beginner to independent learner — you may enter at any point.
The trial lesson establishes where you are — reading level, prior study, what you want to achieve — and sets a plan that fits your available time. No pressure, no rigid syllabus.
Beginners start at the very beginning with letters and reading; those with prior knowledge continue from where they are. Most sisters find they have retained more than they expected.
A routine that survives busy weeks. Even ten minutes daily is better than an hour once a week — the teacher will help you find the smallest schedule that still produces progress.
Whether you focus on Quran reading, Hifz, Tajweed, Fiqh or the Islamic sciences, the teacher guides you through the depth appropriate to your goals and available time.
What you learn starts shaping your household — your own worship, your children's education, the questions your family brings to you. Learning becomes lived.
The aim is not to keep you in lessons indefinitely, but to give you the confidence and tools to continue growing in knowledge for decades — on your own, with the teacher as a reference.
How lessons work
Every lesson is one-to-one with a female teacher, in a private setting where you can recite, ask, and learn without hesitation. The schedule is built around your week.
One-to-one, live — taught exclusively by a qualified female teacher at every session.
Private setting — you can recite aloud, ask freely, and learn without concerns about being overheard.
30–60 minute sessions — adjusted to your available time; mothers often prefer shorter, more frequent sessions.
1–3 sessions per week — flexible by design; pause and resume when life demands it, with no penalties.
Change teacher on request — if the fit is not right, we will arrange a different female teacher, no questions asked.

Questions
Common questions from sisters. If yours isn't here, ask it with your trial request.
Yes — and many of our learners are mothers with exactly the same challenge. Some study during naps, some during school hours, some in the evening once the children are asleep. Sessions can be as short as 30 minutes if that's what fits, and even one lesson a week sustained over months produces real progress. If your schedule is genuinely chaotic, the teacher will help you find the smallest routine that survives — ten minutes daily beats an hour that gets cancelled half the time.
It is never too late, and you will very likely recover faster than you fear. The traces of early learning stay in memory even after years away — the letters, the sounds, some surahs. The teacher will assess what remains in the trial lesson, and usually much more has stayed than the learner expected. Many sisters are surprised to find they can read slowly within a few weeks and fluently within a few months. No one is judging you, and no one is starting you from zero if you're not.
Yes — and this is one of the main reasons sisters prefer to study with a female teacher. Rulings around menstruation, purification, pregnancy, nursing and postpartum are part of the Fiqh of worship that every woman should understand, and discussing them with a female teacher is often more comfortable. These subjects are covered fully in our Fiqh of Worship course, and teachers answer individual questions with the sensitivity the topics deserve.
Yes — both arrangements work. Many mothers take their own lessons back-to-back with their daughter's lesson, or in parallel slots with two teachers. Some families prefer a joint lesson where mother and daughter learn together, which works well when levels are similar. The teacher will help you work out the best arrangement based on your daughter's age and level. See also Family Programmes for coordinating multiple learners in one household.
Yes. In the trial request, note anything that matters to you — the madhhab you follow, the subjects that are priorities, or preferences about the teacher's own life experience. Where possible we match you accordingly. If we cannot find a female teacher with the specific profile you're looking for, we will tell you honestly rather than mismatching you. It is always better to know upfront than to discover it three weeks into lessons.
